1. Information We Collect

1.1 Google Account & YouTube Information

When you voluntarily choose to connect your Google or YouTube account, we may receive the following information:

• Name
• Email address
• Profile picture
• YouTube channel metadata (public)
• Publicly available YouTube videos

We only request the minimum data necessary to provide the feature you explicitly enable. Connecting your YouTube account is completely optional.

1.2 Information You Provide

If you register using a non-Google method, you may provide:

• Email address
• Username
• Any profile details you choose to submit

We do not collect additional personal information without your consent.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Create and manage your Aethelgard account
• Display your public YouTube videos on your Aethelgard profile (optional)
• Enable platform functionality and player/creator interaction
• Maintain platform reliability and improve the user experience

We do not use Google user data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or analytics purposes.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use)

Aethelgard’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google user data is accessed and used solely to provide user-facing features explicitly requested by the user and for no other purpose.

4. Sharing, Transfer, or Disclosure of Google User Data

We do not sell, rent, share, transfer, or disclose Google user data to third parties, advertisers, analytics providers, or external organizations.

Google user data is not used for personalized advertising, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics.

The only entities that may process data are trusted infrastructure providers that support Aethelgard’s hosting and delivery (e.g., AWS, Railway, Cloudflare, Cloudinary). These providers have no access to Google user data beyond what is strictly necessary to operate the platform securely.

5. Data Protection & Security Measures

We follow industry-standard security practices, including:

• HTTPS encryption for all communications
• Restricted access controls for OAuth-related data
• Secure server hosting environments
• Encryption of OAuth tokens in transit and at rest
• No storage of unnecessary sensitive information

OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens, if stored, are encrypted at rest and used solely to maintain user-authorized access.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

6.1 Retention of Google User Data

Google user data is retained only while your Aethelgard account is active and while your YouTube account remains linked.

When you unlink your YouTube account, all associated Google user data is permanently deleted from our systems.

6.2 User-Initiated Deletion

You may delete your Google user data at any time by:

• Unlinking your YouTube account within Aethelgard
• Requesting full account deletion at: contact@aethelgard.quest

Once deleted, no Google user data is retained.

7. Revoking Google Access

You may revoke Aethelgard’s access to your Google or YouTube account at any time through your Google Account Permissions page.
